This is a striking 19th-century Chinese export black lacquered wooden chest featuring an elegant, multi-faceted hexagonal silhouette. The exterior is beautifully adorned with intricate, hand-cut mother-of-pearl floral inlays that catch the light with a vibrant iridescent shimmer. The piece showcases classic botanical motifs trailing down its panels and across the lid, complemented by original rustic metal hardware, including brass swing handles on the sides and an integrated front keyhole.
